Icicles #20

Hits: 1

I’ve tried many different glass dildos, and I’ve loved most of them. Glass is wonderful for many reasons: sterilizable, hard texture, good for temperature play, etc. I’ve never had a vibrating glass toy though, so I was really eager to try this one out. Thank you so much, to Relaxation Inc for sending me this one from their sex toys for her section!

The toy arrived in a pretty simple box, which was nice. It has a picture of the toy on the front, and tells you a bit about the toy. On the inside, there’s a lot of foam so that your toy doesn’t get damaged during shipping or storage. Since the toy doesn’t come with any kind of storage bag or pouch, you may want to keep the box for storage. Unfortunately, the box is much bigger than the toy, so I personally hand made a padded bag for my new vibrator. The less crafty among us could put it inside a sock or two in your sock drawer, and no one would be the wiser.

If discretion is something you are really looking for in a toy, than you may or may not like this. The biggest problem the toy has, is honestly – its loud noise. I’m the sort of girl who doesn’t usually mind a bit of a loud toy, but this thing is off the charts. I live in an apartment, and if I put this in the bedroom, shut the door, and run to the bathroom at the other end of the apartment, I can still hear this a little bit. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a nice toy, but the loud-factor is definitely a downer in the bedroom. When I’m using this alone, I find that it’s difficult to tune out the loud

Now, I did want to say that the particular Icicles #20 I got was just a little bit wonky. The base of the toy, where one of the O rings goes is slightly off, as you can see in my picture. I’m unsure whether or not having the O ring be more centered would cut down on the sound. Also, while the box says that this is waterproof, I chose not to submerge it due to the twisted O ring, I didn’t want to ruin the toy.

The toy has quite a strange shape, which I found that I enjoyed a lot. It is a bit difficult to tell from the pictures, but the head of the toy is a bit bigger than the rest of the toy. Also, it does have a semi-realistic shape. There is a gorgeous blue spiral going down the length of the toy. While I’m not someone who loves texture, I did find that this amount of texture is just right for me. It isn’t too intense, but it does add a little extra something. I found that the larger head did hit my (shallow) g-spot, but if you have a deeper g-spot or aren’t sure where yours is, then this may not be the best toy for g-spot hunting.

If you’re new to glass, you have to bear in mind that the material doesn’t give at all, so you should make certain to double check measurements before you dive right in. The Icicles #20 is 7″ long (6″ insertable), and is 1.5″ in diameter. It is safe to use any type of lubricant with it, so feel free to pick your favorite one! To clean your toy, you can use plain soap and water, a toy cleaner, or a 10% bleach solution.

I did have a lot of fun with this toy, it is pretty high powered (4 out of 5) for something which runs on 2AA batteries (not included), has a nice, deep, rumbly vibe, and has a lovely shape. I do wish it was a bit quieter and a that I could submerge it, though. I’m going to give it three paws.

Thank you so much, Relaxation Inc, for allowing me to try out this toy in exchange for an honest and fair review.
