Master ran out to run an errand, and he didn’t want me to go with him (he says I’m not physically well enough yet), so I decided to blog.  I found out on Friday that Master is working from home for the next week to do some sort of online training course for work!  This is awesome, but I normally blog when he isn’t home so I thought I would go ahead and just do a little blog while I had a few minutes.

My surgery was a couple of days ago and I am doing a lot better than I thought I would be, which is awesome!  I had expected quite a bit more pain, which has been somewhat difficult to deal with.  I mean, no, I didn’t want to be in a crippling amount of pain, but I use pain as a gauge to figure out whether or not I am physically okay.  To be honest, the only day I really had any pain was the first day, right out of the operating room and then I’ve had maybe one or two really mild cramps since then.  When I say mild, I mean, they barely register a “1” on my pain scale, and I have a pretty high pain tolerance anyway.

I am supposed to be resting for the next week and then we’ll re-evaluate.  I’m not on any kind of bed restriction or anything like that, but I’m not doing any exercises or chores and I’m just taking things really easy.  The only kind of unpleasantness I’ve noticed from the surgery is that I am nauseous a few times a day, but it does seem to go away if I drink more water; obviously discharge, but not more than a panty liner can’t fix; and exhaustion.  Saturday Master and me needed to go and do some grocery shopping because I was barely sitting up on Friday so we couldn’t go.  I used a scooter in both of the grocery stores we went to but I was beyond tired, lightheaded and POTSy by the time we got home.  Master is trying to gauge how well I am doing by how much energy I seem to have.  (Am I getting up to make tea often, am I asking for lots of help, etc).

Overall I’m really pleased with how things are going.  Yes, I’m completely wiped out but that is to be expected.  Endometrial ablation may be minor but it is still surgery.  For now I’m just playing a lot of Oblivion on the Xbox and trying to recover.  It hasn’t even been a week since the surgery so I don’t have any real opinion on it yet but I’m happy with how things are going so far.  All my fingers and toes are crossed that this is the answer the the biggest problem Master and me have been facing over the last year.  =^^=

Mew mew mew.
