This weekend we were out picking up groceries, and I asked Master if we could look at the grills, just to price them. One of my goals on my Day Zero Project list was to get one, so I just wanted to see what was available. We found this really cute little grill, for $24. Yeah it’s tiny, but it will cook whatever we need it to, and we have already used it three times! Grilling is one of my favorite ways to cook food, so we were both pretty excited.
While we were there, Master mentioned that we’d be needing a table to put the grill on. I noticed a cute little $30 iron table, and I gave Master the rest of my allowance so we could get it. (Sorry Hello Kitty fund! I got caught up in the moment, lol!)
So, we got it home, got it all set up, and I even took a video of us lighting it for the first time. Yes, I am silly.
So, we went to the store and Master bought me some stuffed portobello mushrooms. I thought I took a picture, but now I can’t figure out where that picture might be. Oh well. They were SO pretty. He also made me some veggie skewers. (I was allowed to put the veggies on the skewer, I just wasn’t allowed to cook ’em. He made himself a Gimme Lean vegan burger once, and a couple bison burgers. He also had a baked potato. I can hardly wait to use the grill again!
Now that it’s the Monday before my wisdom tooth removal I’m starting to worry again. I had put it out of my mind, but to be honest the whole thing makes me really uneasy. I’ve had to talk myself out of cancelling my appointment a few times the last couple days. I know it is way better to have your teeth out while you’re young, less complications, blah.. But I just don’t want to take a week off from my life for this. It doesn’t matter when I’d do it though, I’d definitely be off of work for about a week.. No one wants to take that kind of time off, but I just don’t want to be down for the count for that long. I don’t want to be in pain when I’m in none now, and also, I feel queasy when I think about this whole thing. Ick. I know it isn’t the worst thing in the world, but I still am having a hard time with the prospect of it being in four days. Oh well, what’re you gonna do, right?
The weekend went pretty well. We had a lot going on, lots of errands to run etc. It seemed like it went by too quickly, I guess it always does though. I managed to accomplish a few more things on my Day Zero Project list:
Getting a grill.
For one day, eating all my meals with the TV OFF.
And: To not play video games for a week.
The video games one, that was kind of an accident. I just had been working on chores and stuff so much lately, that the next time I got online, I realized it had been a full week. Crazy. I had thought I would get that accomplished when I visited home or something. Oh well. :)
Three cheers for grilling.
