This past weekend was Slut Walk. The day of Slut Walk was just one of those days where absolutely everything that could go wrong did go wrong. It was a nightmare. It started early in the morning, and continued with food, errands, my workout, etc, etc, on and on. So naturally, the GPS somehow took us way the fuck away from where we told it to take us, and we wound up being late for Slut Walk. Of all the times we have had Sumomo, I can only think of maybe three where that magical little glitch happened. But, it did. As I said, our day leading up to Slut Walk was just plain terrible, so we weren’t all that surprised.
However, being late to Slut Walk, we weren’t entirely sure if we missed the walk because we were late – or if we missed the walk because we left early. We stayed about two hours before the sun started to get to us (it was an incredibly hot day), but those two hours were really amazing. I wish we could have stayed longer. I heard a lot of powerful stories and poetry, and I fought off a couple of tears here and there.
I am constantly and utterly astonished at the rape culture we live in. I am absolutely not a feminist in any real sense of the word, but I don’t think rape is a feminist issue. I think it is an every-fucking-body issue. I hate how society thinks it is okay to fucking tell a woman that if she didn’t drink, or wear her hair a certain way, or dress a certain way, that she wouldn’t be raped. That shit needs to stop now. No one is ever asking for rape. No one.
I have taken a lot of shit from kinky people I know who say things like.. “But, Faete! We do consensual non-consent, so rape is okay for us!” Ha ha. Not even close. Do you realize how ignorant that sounds?! PLAY RAPE IS NOTHING LIKE “RAPE”. It just isn’t. People who even try to make that argument are so ridiculous and I don’t know how they even make the connection between consensual non-consent and rape. They are entirely different animals. Consensual non-consent is an active part of OUR dynamic. And, you want to know what makes it completely different from rape: The fact that I fucking consent to it. You can’t have “Consensual non-consent” without “Consensual”. But I digress. I got a bit ranty there.
Anyway, Slut Walk is a walk that Master and me will continue to support as long as it is active. I love the message, and I love everyone coming together to support each other.
On a slightly more fun note, this was the first time I ever went out in public in a corset, tutu, fishnets, and panties over my fishnets. He he. I felt very super slutty and also very super sexy. <3 It was cool. Also, here’s a fun little story.
During Slut Walk, I had to go take a piss. Master brought me to the toilets, and he stood guard for me (Because they were just out houses). He told me that at one point, a little boy and his mom walked by:
Little Boy: “Mommy! I don’t like it when they are all naked!”
Mom: “Hush! They can do whatever they like, they aren’t hurting nobody.”
